A typical gold mining investor would be willing to purchase mining equipment like metal detectors, stone and mineral crushers (fixed and mobile), grinding mills and other equipment (for example vibrating screens, vibrating feeders and belt conveyors). Typical investment is about US$50,000 - US$2,000,000 plus.
The Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Act (2007) of Zimbabwe requires that foreign investors in companies with an annual turnover of US$500,000 maintain a 51% equity ownership for indigenous Zimbabweans. The law does not affect companies operating below this threshold.
